Dan Barker will debate pastor Charlie Salamone of Downtown Mission Church on the topic "Should We Believe in the God of the Bible?" at 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 25, in the Wausau East High School Auditorium. The event, which is sponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio, is hosted by Intervarsity Christian Fellowship along with the Central Wisconsin Atheist Society, in partnership with Downtown Mission Church and The Freedom From Religion Foundation. Contact Josiah Winterhoff.

April 7 — La Crosse, Wisconsin

FFRF Staff Attorney Sam Grover will speak to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of La Crosse on Sunday, April 7 about "Civil Rights in the Age of Religious Refusal." Sam will discuss how modern cries for "religious freedom" in the United States are being made not in defense of religious thought, but as an attack on the civil rights of marginalized groups, especially the LGBTQ community. The service starts at 10am (nursery is open for childcare starting at 9:30 am), and will be held at 401 West Ave S, La Crosse, WI 54601. There is parking across West Avenue on the street between Aquinas High School and First Lutheran Church.
