Project 2025: The Power of Impoundment Unleashed | FFRF’s Ask An Atheist
We talk with Daniel Schuman of the American Governance Institute about how Project 2025 could bring back the practice of impoundment, which allows the president to cancel spending authorized by Congress. Impoundment was outlawed in 1974 in response to the abuse of power under President Nixon. Impoundment allows the president to cancel spending appropriated by Congress.
