A Freedom From Religion Foundation complaint successfully removed a framed cross from an elementary school office in Brock, Texas.
FFRF Staff Attorney Liz Cavell contacted Brock Independent School District Superintendent Richard Tedder on June 13 requesting he remove the cross from Brock Elementary School. She noted that the cross display excludes non-Christians and is unconstitutional.
Tedder responded in an email on July 15: “The cross was located in the elementary office and removed. Have a BLESSED day!”
FFRF wishes Tedder and his school district a secular school year.
