Nebraska State Senator Megan Hunt, who publicly identifies as an atheist, received FFRF's "Champion of the First Amendment" award. Her work has been covered by major publications, and she has received numerous awards, including from the Council on State Government’s (CSG) 20 Under 40 Award. She currently sits on five committees in the unicameral Nebraska Legislature.
