FFRF TV show guest loves to mess with the Texas establishment

Watch the preview here.

A Texan explains on the latest episode of the Freedom From Religion Foundation’s TV show why she and her organization take delight in messing with those running the Lone Star State.

Felicia Martin is the executive director of the Texas Freedom Network, founded back in 1995 by Cecile Richards, the stalwart abortion-rights activist who died earlier this year. For the past 30 years, Texas Freedom Network has been a nonpartisan, grassroots organization of community and religious leaders who support religious freedom, individual liberties and public education.

“We have stood up for the rights of Texans before — and there will always be a space for us to do so,” Martin tells “Freethought Matters” co-hosts Dan Barker and Annie Laurie Gaylor. “So that’s how we keep hope. Texas is our battleground. We know that we are very much the center of many of the things that are happening. So we have to define success in different ways now and create a movement much the same way that Cecile did 30 years ago.”

You can watch the entire interview on FFRF’s YouTube channel now. New shows go up every Thursday.
