The popular feisty ad that Ron Reagan has done on behalf of the Freedom From Religion Foundation is returning to “The Daily Show” for three weeks.

The television commercial, in which he describes himself as “unabashed atheist, not afraid of burning in hell,” will air on Comedy Central’s program Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights beginning Monday, Oct. 24,  and ending on Wednesday, Nov. 9.

Reagan, the progressive son of President Ronald and Nancy Reagan, famously says during the 30-second spot (which has been viewed more than a million times via its various permutations on YouTube):

Hi, I’m Ron Reagan, an unabashed atheist, and I’m alarmed, as you may be, by the intrusion of religion into our secular government. That’s why I’m asking you to join the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the nation’s largest and most effective association of atheists and agnostics, working to keep state and church separate, just like our Founders intended. Please join the Freedom From Religion Foundation. Ron Reagan, lifelong atheist, not afraid of burning in hell.

“We’re grateful to Ron for helping to make FFRF a ‘household name’ and growing  our membership,” says FFRF Co-President Dan Barker. “We also truly appreciate our members who generously donate to FFRF’s advertising fund, thus making possible the placement of these ads.”

The Freedom From Religion Foundation is the country’s largest freethought organization, with 38,000 nonreligious members and several chapters all across the country.
