TAKE ACTION: Urge ND House committee to vote “no” on barring state restrictions on churches

Take Action Generic

A dangerous bill is about to go before the North Dakota House Judiciary Committee! House Bill 1136 would extend privileges to religious entities that promote favoritism. Please tell the committee to vote “no” on ND H.B. 1136, which would reckless expand religious privileges!

The bill would forbid local governmental bodies from creating restrictions that supposedly put a “significant burden” on religious practices in North Dakota. This burden is an arbitrary and dangerous standard. Under this legislation, religious organizations could continue to operate regardless of risk (such as a pandemic), while secular businesses would be shut down if deemed in the best interest of the general public.

Please take a moment to share your thoughts with the House Judiciary Committee using either the template provided or by providing your own wording. For best results, please be succinct and polite.
