The national Freedom From Religion Foundation is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit founded in 1978 with 30,000 freethinking members nationwide. FFRF’s purposes are to defend the constitutional principle of the separation between state and church and to educate the public about non-theism. Membership includes 10 issues a year of our newspaper, Freethought Today (hard copy, digital or both). FFRF, based in Madison, Wis. maintains a staff of 26, including a 12-member legal team and a full-time governmental affairs director based in D.C.
