Roe v. Wade is imperiled. The emboldened Religious Right is ramping up its religiously motivated war on reproductive rights.
Since the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion in Roe v. Wade, religious zealots have been working to overturn it and impose their narrow religious views on the rest of us. The only organized opposition to abortion and contraceptive rights is exclusively religious in nature.
Many groups are laudably working for abortion rights. But the Freedom From Religion Foundation is working to get at the root cause of the problem: the imposition of religious dogma on our laws and social policy. The battle for reproductive liberty and equality will never be won until religious control over our government is ended.
