Other Ways to Give

Combined Federal Campaign.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation is eligible for inclusion on the National Part of the 2012 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Charity List. (Approval for 2013 is forthcoming.) FFRF has been a CFC charity since 2007. Freedom From Religion Foundation, Inc. appears in the listing of "National/International Independent Organizations" which is published in each local campaign charity list. The CFC code donors should use to designate their contribution to FFRF is 32519. The Foundation received over $165,000 from CFC donors in 2011 and 2012.

It is recommended that all CFC donors check the box to include their name and mailing address (in addition to your e-mail) with the donation. Donors will receive an acknowledgment  from FFRF when we receive pledge notification (throughout the year).

32519 Freedom From Religion Foundation, Inc. (608)256-8900 www.ffrf.org EIN#391302520 Help our national association of freethinkers (atheists and agnositcs), founded in 1978, to promote and defend the constitutional principle of separation between church and state. 6.4% R,B,Z

Members of the public have asked FFRF what the percentage rating refers to. It is the (very low) percentage of money FFRF spends on administration! (In other words, your donation goes to work for our laudable and vital two purposes!)

Matching grants. Matching grant donations have become a significant boost to FFRF in recent years. Many companies offer to match (fully or a percentage) their employees’ donations to charitable organizations. These matches multiply the impact of the initial donation to further the goals of the Foundation. Membership dues and donations are tax-deductible contributions and may be submitted to matching gift programs upon organization approval.

FFRF receives Charity Navigator’s highest 4-star rating. Donations to FFRF are deductible for income-tax purposes to the fullest extent of the law.  Seniors 70½ take note: Congress has extended the IRA charitable rollover through 2013, allowing you to transfer as much as $100,000 per year from your traditional IRA directly to our charity, and subtracting from taxable income. Congress through year's end has also approved transferring securities directly to satisfy mandatory distribution, as well as cash. If you have questions about how to make such a transfer, please phone Annie Laurie Gaylor, FFRF co-president,  or Lisa Strand, FFRF director of operations, at 608/256-8900.  Thank you!

If you sign up for Amazon Prime, you are offered the option of designating a charity to receive 0.5% of your purchases that are eligible for its Smile Program. FFRF qualifies and is listed as a recipient. (Be forewarned: For reasons known only to the IRS, FFRF is listed as a “Christian” organization. FFRF keeps trying to fix this IRS snafu. Needless to say, FFRF remains the largest freethought (atheist, agnostic) membership group in North America and also works as a state/church watchdog.

As our kind member Harry puts it, “I signed up to have a half a percent of my purchases go to FFRF. Now, if 20,000 members did the same . . ."

Our custom Amazon Smile Account is HERE.
