Good news for freethought

DePaul University in Chicago, the largest U.S. Catholic college (25,000 students), now boasts a student freethought club, the DePaul Alliance for Free Thought, humorously known as DAFT (because who would be “daft” enough to start a club for atheists and agnostics at a Catholic college?). FFRF Co-Presidents Dan Barker and Annie Laurie Gaylor had the great pleasure of addressing the club on Nov. 18. The pair spoke in a room graced by photos of the university’s presidents, all men in black collars. Pictured (front) Brianna Montague (community service co-chair), and Dan Barker.
