For several years the Freedom From Religion Foundation has been working with our local Florida chapter, the Central Florida Freethought Community, to fix the Winter Garden City Commission’s discriminatory invocation policy.
Joseph Richardson, a member of FFRF and CFFC, has repeatedly spoken at City Commission meetings, eloquently and politely urging them to correct this problem even after they kicked him out of a meeting in 2014 for refusing to stand for the prayer.
Joseph has written a short petition that he plans to present to the City Commission to show that he is not the only one who wants this discriminatory policy changed. FFRF strongly encourages you to support equal treatment of freethinkers in Winter Garden by signing this petition.
