The Freedom From Religion Foundation has on its TV show this Sunday the second part of a two-week musical treat in which Co-President Dan Barker gives an extended performance.

An accomplished pianist, record producer, arranger and songwriter, Dan initially worked with Christian music companies such as Manna Music, Gospel Light Publications and Word Music. For more than two decades, Dan produced religious music. He accompanied on the piano such Christian personalities as Pat Boone, Jimmy Roberts (of the “Lawrence Welk Show”) and gospel songwriter Audrey Mieir. After becoming an atheist, Dan has continued his musical endeavors, writing dozens of freethought songs and recording three albums for FFRF, as well as being executive producer of Godless Gospel.

This week on “Freethought Matters,” Dan performs songs by Irving Berlin, Charles (“Annie”) Strouse, Yip (“Over the Rainbow”) Harburg, as well as his own work.

If you don’t live in the quarter-plus viewership of the nation where the show broadcasts on Sunday, you can already catch the interview on FFRF’s YouTube channel. New shows go up every Thursday.
