FFRF asks: Give to secular food banks & charities on #GivingTuesday

Giving Tuesday

On Giving Tuesday, the Freedom From Religion Foundation asks that you and the secular community donate to your local secular food bank or national or international hunger charities.

With more than 30 million unemployment claims — a number that is rapidly growing — in the United States, food insecurity is likewise growing. Americans with the least resources are not necessarily benefiting from federal handouts. Food banks need your support.

The United Nations reports that a dual crisis is expected when COVID-19 outbreaks occur in hunger hotspots such as Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Yemen and Syria. Even before the pandemic hit, more than 820 million people around the world went to bed hungry.

This Tuesday, FFRF urges the secular community to give to secular charities helping to ensure that others, particularly children, do not go to bed malnourished or hungry.

We’re all in this together. Thank you.
