Please take action to ensure the reproductive rights of all Kentuckians are not stripped away by religious ideologues! Early voting is now underway!
Politicians in Kentucky are trying their best to ensure that Kentuckians do not have access to essential reproductive health measures. This past session they approved a measure to put on the ballot a proposed constitutional amendment that would state that no language in the state’s Constitution is intended to protect the right to an abortion. Kentucky Constitutional Amendment 2, also known as the “No Right To Abortion in Constitution Amendment,” would prohibit a court from accepting language in the state Constitution to mean that abortion access is legal. This is an egregious power grab to ensure that the government controls your body, not you.
The U.S. Supreme Court jeopardized the health and well-being of millions of Americans when they stripped reproductive freedoms in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade. Kentucky Constitutional Amendment 2 will ensure that the government mandates that those rights remain stripped in Kentucky. Vote NO on this amendment to put the power to make the most intimate medical decisions back into the right hands—the patient’s!
Justices on the high court have proven that they are unwilling to allow women to make their own decisions when it comes to their reproductive health; now, Kentucky politicians are doing the same. Vote NO on Kentucky Constitutional Amendment 2 to make sure that religious ideologues cannot impose their will on Kentuckians when it comes to reproductive health!
