An Invitation to Join Us

Dear Friend:

Over and over we hear from atheists and agnostics around the country: “I’m so glad I found you. I thought I was the only one who felt this way about religion.”

To be the only freethinker in a family or community of religionists can be a lonely business. The nonreligious often feel like an endangered species in the United States.

Yet fully 14% of the U.S. population is not religious, according to the definitive. We are a sizable minority. If just a representative fraction of America’s 30 million nonreligious Americans would organize, freethought views would be heard.

We invite you at this perilous time for the future of separation of church and state to join the Freedom From Religion Foundation, Inc., which has been working nationally and effectively since 1978 to promote freethought and to keep state and church separate.

If freethought patriot Thomas Paine were alive today, he surely would be saying: “Now is the time for all good freethinkers to come to the aid of their secular country!” Let’s flex some collective muscle to buttress the beleaguered wall of separation between church and state. Freethought must be heard in the marketplace of ideas if civilization is to endure and advance.

The Foundation’s affordable membership dues are tax-deductible and include 10 issues annually of our unique newspaper Freethought Today (click here to sign up for a complimentary issue). Members also receive the twice-a-year newsletter, “Private Line,” with financial and organizational information.

Freethought books and products are available to members, and a lively annual national convention every fall brings together freethinkers from many states and Canada. Members are also eligible to receive courtesy e-mails of FFRF news releases, action alerts and the online Freethought of the Day, an impressive introduction to prominent freethinkers and their views. Read more about the Foundation and recent Foundation actions and legal accomplishments.

We invite you to join us online or mail in your membership. Won’t you join us today?
