Callahan Miller

State Advocacy Counsel

CALLAHAN MILLER received a B.A. with Honors in Sociology and Legal Studies in 2014 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During university, she was a leader of UW’s Atheists, Humanists, and Agnostics student organization and interned in FFRF’s Legal Department. Additionally, she was the proud awardee of FFRF’s Catherine Fahringer Memorial Student Activist Award.

After graduation, she was hired as FFRF’s first legal assistant. In 2016, she departed FFRF to attend Harvard Law School, graduating with a J.D. in 2019. While at Harvard, she was active in the law school’s Gender Violence program, including acting as both a teaching and research assistant. She was also a member of the Journal of Law and Gender, Civil Rights–Civil Liberties Law Review, and International Human Rights Clinic, among others.

From 2019 to 2025, she practiced commercial litigation at two globally-recognized firms in Los Angeles and Chicago. In 2026, she rejoined her FFRF home as State Advocacy Counsel for the FFRF Action Fund.
