Ask your reps: How are you defending state/church separation during COVID-19?

Atheists are the most politically engaged demographic in the country. Your members of Congress are listening to you and other freethinkers. Right now, members of Congress are holding regular virtual town halls via social media or the telephone. The town halls are an excellent way for secular Americans to directly engage with your senators and representative.

Can you join their next town hall and engage your member of Congress?

Hereā€™s what to do:

1. Sign up for your representative’s email list, Twitter, or Facebook.

2. Monitor their communications and find out when their next town hall is (or check their office website for upcoming events).
3. Join the Town Hall and ask a question. For example:

I am a member of the Freedom from Religion Foundation and I want to ensure the separation of state and church. What are you doing to make sure that coronavirus funds are not being used for religious activities?

Many of you are already engaging with your elected officials. The virtual town halls are a new opportunity where you can make sure your issues arenā€™t being brushed aside.

Please join your elected officialā€™s next town hall and ask this question:

I am a member of the Freedom from Religion Foundation and I want to ensure the separation of state and church. What are you doing to make sure that coronavirus funds are not being used for religious activities?
