In a 1979 piece about “power couples” in the Madison area which included an interview with my parents, my Dad, who was a contractor at that time, told the newspaper: “I’m not saying the work I do is unimportant–it isn’t, but if I wasn’t doing it, somebody else would. What Anne is doing is something that has already changed the world in some small way–it is something which will last.” Today, he calls his wife, correctly, a “national treasure.” |
