Ask an Atheist Video Submission Terms

By submitting your video question to the Freedom From Religion Foundation’s Ask An Atheist, you consent and agree to the following terms. You must affirmatively agree to be considered for Ask An Atheist.

  1. I attest that the video I uploaded is a video of me.
  2. I fully consent to the use of my name, video footage, photographic image, likeness, statements, quotes, and other personally identifiable information contained in the video, in whole or in part, individually or in conjunction with other images, text, or videos, as part of the FFRF’s Ask An Atheist program.
  3. I understand that, if approved, my video will, at a minimum, post to and appear at FFRF’s website (FFRF.org), Facebook page, as well as FFRF’s Youtube channel.
  4. I grant a license to FFRF to use my video and understand that in whole, or in part, any visual images and audio from my video may be distributed by FFRF.
  5. I understand that, by submitting my video for consideration in FFRF’s Ask An Atheist program, I waive all rights of privacy and compensation in connection with the use of my name, video, photographic image, likeness, statements, and other personally identifiable information contained in the video.
  6. I agree not to post any material which is knowingly false, libelous and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, vulgar, profane, slanderous, hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually-oriented, invasive of a person’s privacy or any other material that may violate any laws be it of the United States, my country, or International Law.
  7. I agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by me or I have received express permission from the owner.
  8. I understand and agree that FFRF retains the right to approve or disapprove of any video I submit under this application.
  9. In order to ensure that the videos submitted for FFRF’s Ask An Atheist program meet the approved terms, FFRF maintains the right to edit the video for size and/or content. I hereby waive any right to approve or inspect the final copy that FFRF may use.
  10. I understand that there are inherent risks associated with the publication of my image of personal likeness in digital recordings, video, images, and/or text posted on the internet or any other medium. I agree to assume these risks, whether known or unknown to me, of permitting publication of my image of personal likeness in the form of a photograph, still or moving image, and/or audio on the internet, in publications, or in videos both now and in the future.
  11. I hereby forever release and discharge FFRF and its legal representatives from any and all claims, actions, demands, and liability relating to, arising out of, or in connection with the use of videos or images submitted for FFRF’s Ask An Atheist program including, without limitation, any and all claims for invasion of privacy and libel.
  12. If my video submission includes the image of personal likeness of any other individual(s) (e.g., my spouse, my child(ren), etc.), I attest that I have permission and/or legal authority to sign on behalf of and thereby authorize the application of the terms of this waiver to the individual(s) included.
  13. By submitting a video to the campaign, I certify that I am an adult over the age of 18 and that I am free and able to give consent.
