Thank President Obama for secular address

President Obama's Thanksgiving Day address was as American as apple pie, but has the Christian Right in a tizzy because he did not utter the word G-O-D. Christians have been up in arms, tweeting comments such as, "God help us!" and "So sad," according to ABC News. Many news outlets, including a few abroad, claimed to have received thousands of comments from angry believers. Fox News' Todd Starnes was especially outraged by the address, "... nowhere in the 11-paragraph address does he mention the Almighty." Fox News priest, Fr. Johnathan Morris also went after Obama, and the criticism has been picked up by ABC's website (this story mistakenly features the President's 2009 Thanksgiving Day address).

The Freedom From Religion Foundation asks you to thank the President for setting a secular precedent. By the way, "Three of the Republican presidential candidates – Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum – issued Thanksgiving statements that omitted any references to God," said Joel Siegel of ABC News.
