FFRF & Chicago-area Chapter Daley Plaza freethought display
Goes up Tuesday morning, Nov. 26
FFRF and the Metropolitan Chicago Chapter are erecting a unique freethought/atheist display in Daley Plaza, a public forum dominated by a nativity scene every December. Our display includes a red, 8 foot tall, lighted “A” (like the signature Dawkins “A” for atheist, agnostic), and a banner celebrating the Winter Solstice and the birth of the Bill of Rights (Dec. 15, 1791). The banner depicts 3 U.S. founders & the Statue of Liberty adoring the Bill of Rights in a manger. We'll put up these displays Tuesday morning, Nov. 26, in time for the annual Christkindlmarket Chicago. Come say “hi” Tuesday morning, watch for news coverage or visit thru the end of Dec. Look for us along Dearborn Street near the menorah and creche displays.
