The Freedom From Religion Foundation is co-sponsoring a rally, "Texans for Truthful Textbooks," against the religious-right revisions of textbook and curriculum changes by the Texas State Board of Education in Austin, Texas, on the steps of the Texas state capitol. The event, which is co-sponsored and organized by a coalition of other freethinking groups, takes place on Sunday, May 16, starting at 11:00 a.m. Signs/placards are encouraged, and if you attend please take high-resolution pictures for possible publication in Freethought Today (send them to This email address is being protected from spambots. Note: The Texas Freedom Network is also hosting a rally on May 19, at 1 p.m., at the Texas Education Agency (1701 Congress Ave., Austin).
