Thank Mayor Bloomberg for refusing to cater to religionists

It's important for FFRF members, as advocates of state-church separation, to support New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's effort to keep religion out of the city's commemoration of the upcoming 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Bloomberg is taking incredible heat for his refusal to turn the ceremony into a religious event.

FFRF Co-President Annie Laurie Gaylor and Dan Barker wrote a letter today thanking the mayor for his principled stand. You may wish to refer to that letter when composing your own. You can also easily counter the points in this American Center for Law & Justice release that excoriates Bloomberg for refusing to cater to the Religious Right.
