Janet Benshoof

Janet Benshoof was founder and president of the Center for Reproductive Law & Policy for 10 years, and has been an advocate of women's reproductive rights for more than 25 years. (She resigned her position at the Center in June 2002 to pursue global women's rights and human rights issues.) Benshoof transformed the field of legal advocacy on behalf of women's reproductive rights.

The Center has won landmark cases establishing women's reproductive rights as the law of the land, including three Supreme Court victories. The Center, a non-profit legal advocacy organization founded in 1992, is dedicated to advancing and protecting women's reproductive rights worldwide.
