The Freedom From Religion Foundation's complaint about the godly mission statement of the City of Hudsonville, Mich., continues to get media coverage. WWMT-TV Ch. 3 in Kalamazoo (see story below) reports that the mission statement, which includes the phrase that the city government offices "strive to serve God," is also on the wall of Mayor Don Van Doeselaar's office. The mayor expects to make a decision by early next week about the Foundation's request to delete religion from the mission statement.

Contact the Mayor with a short, polite, signed e-mail, to educate him about why a city should strive to serve citizens, not God, and why this mission statement should be amended to be secular:
