"Trying (But Not Too Hard) to Understand Angry Atheists"

Newsweek Column Defames Atheists - Action Alert!

April 27, 2006

Writing an out-of-the-blue putdown of atheists is Rabbi Marc Gellman, in a highly undeserving webcast dated April 26 and circulated by Newsweek, patronizingly titled, "Trying to Understand Angry Atheists".

(If you weren't angry before, you might be after reading this column full of tiresome ad hominem attacks!)

Would they even think of running a piece by an atheist titled "How Can We Understand Angry Jews?" or other such columns begging the question and employing unsavory stereotypes about certain religions?
